Another season
Staying in a luxury chalet at the gateway to Vanoise offers a different relationship with the French Alps: longer days, open trails and the quiet of the mountains.
Trails at the gateway to Vanoise reveal waterfalls, mountain lakes, glaciers and Alpine landscapes for different levels.
Electric or classic bikes open up the many climbs and descents around Peisey-Vallandry.
Kayaking, fishing and paddleboarding can be enjoyed on mountain lakes.
Mountain villages, churches and local museums reveal the history and Baroque art of Savoie’s high valleys.
Local tables serve raclette, fondue, crozets and diots; back at the lodge, the terrace and spa invite quiet recovery.

A four-season village
In the Tarentaise valley, Peisey-Vallandry combines mountain heritage, spruce forests and direct access to Les Arcs and Paradiski. In winter, a stay follows the rhythm of skiing; in summer, hiking and mountain biking reveal the landscapes at the gateway to Vanoise.
Epicime Lodge offers a private base for a holiday in Peisey-Vallandry: a 450 m² luxury chalet for 14 guests, with seven bedrooms, a spa and direct access to the slopes.
Stay in Peisey-Vallandry
Peisey-Vallandry brings together the hamlets of Peisey, Nancroix, Landry and the Vallandry ski area, on the slopes above the Tarentaise valley in Savoie. Spruce forests, Baroque chapels and traditional timber houses give this corner of the French Alps a calmer character than the large purpose-built resorts nearby.
From Peisey-Vallandry, the lifts open directly onto the Paradiski ski area and the runs of Les Arcs. Tree-lined descents suit families and intermediate skiers, while the Aiguille Rouge and the glacier terrain above Arc 2000 offer long, demanding runs. Epicime Lodge is ski-in, so skis go straight from the ski room to the snow.
The village sits at one of the gateways to the Vanoise National Park, the oldest national park in France. Marked paths lead to waterfalls, mountain lakes and high pastures, with ibex, chamois and marmots frequently seen in summer.
Winter is built around skiing, sledging, snowshoeing and the unusual experiences of the ski area. In summer, the same landscapes open to hiking, mountain biking, mountain-lake activities, village heritage and Savoyard tables. A luxury chalet in Peisey-Vallandry therefore works as a year-round base, not only for a ski week.
Landry railway station, served by TGV and night trains, is roughly fifteen minutes away. By road, the resort is reached via Albertville and Bourg-Saint-Maurice; the nearest airports are Chambéry, Lyon and Geneva. The concierge team can arrange transfers on request.
From late June, the lifts reopen for walkers and riders. Paths climb from Nancroix through the larch and spruce woods towards the Rosuel gateway, the Plan Palet lakes and the Mont Pourri balconies, from gentle family loops to long day walks. Mountain bikers find forest tracks, marked descents and long valley routes towards Landry and Bourg-Saint-Maurice, with electric bikes available in the village.
Peisey-Vallandry is an unhurried place: short distances, gentle tree-lined runs, a ski school, sledging areas and an outdoor swimming pool in summer. Seven en-suite bedrooms and a lift inside Epicime Lodge make it practical for two or three families travelling together, while the lounge and dining room keep everyone in one place at the end of the day.
The lodge is a 450 m² chalet for fourteen guests, arranged over five floors from the ski room to the top-floor bedroom, with an Arcabulle spa, a panoramic terrace and a concierge service seven days a week. It gives a Peisey-Vallandry stay a private base, in the village and on the snow at the same time.
